Powerfit at Giant Shoreham

Giant PowerFit
powered by Wattbike is a unique bike fitting system - using the scientific accuracy, authentic ride feel and custom technique of Wattbike to ensure your bike-fit is optimised for power, speed, comfort and control.

The correct size bike is essential for safety and comfort, but a professional bike-fit takes this to a whole new level - improving comfort, reducing the risk of injury and increasing performance.

PowerFit is the only bike-fit system that uses WattBike's proprietary Polar View technology - with accurate power measurement of the entire pedal stroke of both your left and right leg, to improve pedalling technique, balance, efficiency and power through the perfect fit.

Saddle type, position & height only - £50 (allow up to an hour)

Full Powerfit - £150 (allow up to 1.5 - 2 hours)
Full Powerfit with Chartered Physiotherapist - £250 (allow up to 2 - 3 hours)

We tailor each fit to your needs and the time for each session is dependent on a number of factors, including your current riding position, previous injuries and power analysis feedback throughout.

Giant Shoreham are pleased to be able to offer you a consultation and assessment with Amanda Kemp, Chartered Physiotherapist of Bodyfit Physiotherapy, as part of your PowerFit session to ensure you and your bike are working in the total harmony. As a keen runner, cyclist and skydiver, Amanda brings a unique insight to the art of cycling with her specialist knowledge in Sports Physiotherapy, Biomechanical Assessment and Clinical Pilates. Sign up for our Newsletter, or keep an eye on our Events page and Social Media, as Amanda will also be running some ‘Pilates for Cyclists’ classes in our store during 2016.

Cyclists require certain skills to perform well on a bike and to stay injury-free. Amanda has developed a specific Pilate’s class to address these needs: ‘Good core control will help you to transfer more power to the pedals by providing a solid platform for the lower body to push against. This will improve performance but will also help to prevent injuries that may occur due to incorrect distribution of the forces which lead to over-load of muscles not designed for the job. Working on Pilates exercises allows you to become more aware of your body on and off the bike which will lead to greater control, power and enjoyment on the bike.
